11. Plagiarism Policy & AI Usage Policy

1. Plagiarism Policy

Resonet maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism in any form. Authors must ensure that all submitted work is original, properly referenced, and free from academic misconduct.

Forms of Plagiarism Prohibited

  • Direct Plagiarism — copying text or ideas without citation

  • Self-Plagiarism / Duplicate Submission — reusing one’s own previously published work without proper acknowledgment

  • Mosaic / Patchwork Plagiarism — mixing copied phrases or ideas into original text

  • Improper Paraphrasing — changing a few words while retaining original meaning and structure

  • Data Fabrication / Falsification — presenting invented or manipulated data

  • Uncredited Translation — translating text from another language without citation

Similarity Check

  • All submissions undergo similarity screening using plagiarism detection tools.

  • A similarity score above the journal’s allowable threshold (typically ≤ 15% excluding references) may lead to revision request or rejection.

  • Authors may be asked to submit originality reports if required.

Consequences of Plagiarism

If plagiarism is detected at any stage — pre-review, during review, or post-publication — the journal may:

  • Reject the manuscript

  • Retract the published article

  • Notify author’s institution or funding agency

  • Restrict the authors from future submissions

Authors are responsible for the accuracy and originality of their submissions.

Human scholarly contribution must remain central.
